I had an inspirational night yesterday where I gave my first speech on faith and I was nervous about speaking about faith/god esp. in business environments where people don’t take topics like that well, but I realized, that people are hungry for spiritual stuff, people are hungry for true love and things that touch our soul. We all want different things in life, good relationship, good job, financial stability, etc, which all are very important but more than all that is finding that Joy/love within us, we cannot make anyone else happy till we are not happy. We cannot love someone unconditionally till we don’t learn to love ourselves…what we are, we give out…
I read a beautiful quote a few days ago where it said that beautiful people do not just happen, they have known struggles, they have know defeat, they have known suffering and still have found their way through the depths! And I think it’s so true, how can you really love if you haven’t been through a broken heart, how can you forgive someone if you haven’t forgiven someone yourself, how can you serve others if you don’t know the meaning of struggles…
A lot of times god might take you through situations/trials that will teach you to really accept and love, god might put you with some people that you don’t want to love or show kindness to because they are difficult, god might take your job away for a season so you can realize the value of what you have and what it feels like for not having it, you might be lonely for a season so you may feel others pain, god might not give you something so fast, so that you can knock on doors that you might not if you had it….
We live in a world that is constantly searching, searching for their identity from outside but a lot of times we forget it’s in us, it’s a constant practice to look inside, to look within to find those answers. It’s easy to find short term happiness from money, people, but real joy is from God, it’s from inside us and when we find that, all the other stuff (money, relationships, etc) add on it but if you don’t have that internal happiness, how will other things add to it? Isn’t it false identity to ask money, relationships, to give you internal JOY? It’s not an easy journey to find happiness from within truly but it is worth everything! It is worth for us to spend time with ourselves to grow ourselves constantly, if it seems silly, challenge it…
